Christmas Tag Swap

MayMay Made It had a Christmas Tag Swap in which you had to make a tag holder out of a file folder and fill it with Christmas tags.  I had a great time working on this.  It was a lot of fun.  Here are a few pictures of the one I did for my partner.  I hope she likes it. I also did a video showing each tag so check that out also (below).

My Favorite Things Goodie Bag Swap (Scrapdaworld)

Here is another swap I participated in that was a lot of fun.  Tmika at Scrapdaworld does a ton of swaps and I have always wanted to do one but just got a little intimidated I guess.

We had to make and send 3 sets of 5 (items) and a 3x3 note card with envelope. The note card had to have at least 2 embellishments. The items could be themed or not - but all 5 things must be different. At first I did not want to do a themed item and was going to find stuff in my stash but I could not find enough of everything to do it.  So I went with the Christmas theme.  But then what to get....just a variety of stuff?  No, I wanted the person to be able to make something out of the stuff they got.  I walked around Michaels and came upon the ornament idea.  So I got things that were not expensive (around $1 or $1.50 or so) that you could use to make them.

New DIY Christmas Trees (Sorry posted way...way...way late)

Here are the other Christmas trees I did. I think they turned out okay.  I think I may use some other materials next year.  These are all made out of ribbon.

I finally got around to doing some table top Christmas trees. Here is one of the ones did.

Stacy is so sweet to send me these.  The Thanksgiving card was one for a swap but I did not have time to sign up for the Christmas swap but she sent me one anyway.  How sweet she is.   Video below to see her cute cards.  Thanks Stacy!!

Merry Christmas!!

I hope you guys had a very Merry Christmas!  This is our first Christmas in new home and it was a good one. This is our new little tree. It was Bobby's mother's that we got after she passed away.  The angel on top was her and it was perfect.  The fireplace turned out looking great too. 

That smile says it all..."yeah, I am up to something!"

Miss "I look good in this Santa outfit" is so cute in this little outfit.  Oh, I guess she was right huh?

Daniel and his honey...I mean fiance'.  Are they just so cute!

Amy just loves her "Oma-in-law".  I was so glad Oma was able to come. She has not been feeling well and packing up and coming to our house seems to get harder and harder for her.  I told her that next year will not be a problem since she will be living with us anyway.  So she don't have "pack" for anything.

A father/son moment in time.  Awww how cute they are!

My boys have gotten so big.  Look how little that big tree looks with them standing beside it.  Belittles it big time.  Oh wait.  That's right, we had a small tree this year.  They are still so grown up though.

Aww how cute are they.  Bobby and I love them so much! They are such good boys..I mean MEN.

I made our Christmas Cards this year so I did a short video on them. I meant to do a video on me actually making them, but I was in such a hurry to finish them and get them out, I forgot.  Geez!  Anyhoo, here is the video.  Enjoy.

Christmas Wreath

This is my FIRST attempt at a fabric wreath.  I got the idea from Sarah (PinkCricuit).  I think hers turned out a little better than mine but I thought it was okay for a first try.  I used four different patterns of Christmas fabric and some sparkely tulle.  Just tied strips around a wreath form until it was filled.  I bought 1/2 yard of each one and I did not even use half of each for this wreath.  So I can make about 1 or two more of these.  Let me know what you think.
