Scrapbook Expo No More

It saddens me that I will not be able to go to the Expo.  Health and money (among other things) have prevented me from going.  I am so bummed you would not believe! Oh well...maybe next year huh?  BUT...I AM going to the crop that is that next weekend in my hometown.  I am excited because it will be my FIRST CROP!

I am trying so hard to get prepared but I have so many other irons in the fire.  Working on some wedding invitations and the program for a friend....making new cards for a new store opening in Canton, MS in about a month or two (cafe, consignment shop, art classes, wi-fi hang-out)...card orders for friends, have about 3 craft shows planned before Christmas (got to get inventory up), etc.  Although it is a lot, I am enjoying the crafting.

Will be trying my first attempt at binding soon too!  Yippee!!

Altered Frame

Did an altered frame for a wedding picture.  I used the heart frame this time and added a small ribbon around the edge of the heart.  I also used corner stickers to put a little something extra on it.

Wedding Card

Here is a card I did for my friend Cherry at work who is getting married.  I got the bride and groom idea from Dawn Griffith, a Stampin' Up Demonstrator.  Thanks Dawn!  I think it turned out so cute!

Here is the inside....

And I also did the envelope..

Scrapbook Expo

It's been awhile since I have posted.  I have been doing a lot of research on going to crops, etc. because I have NEVER been to one.  Can you believe it?  I am going to the Scrapbook Expo in Duluth, Georgia in July.  So I am trying to figure out what to take, how to take it, etc.  Storage and transport is the biggest thing.  I have three crop bags and lots of other plastic storage.  I hope that is enough.  I have seen videos where you would think they were packing clothes for a month long get-a-way!  Geez!  It's like packing your whole craft room and taking it with you.  I just hope I don't forget anything.  I want to get some scrapbooking done because I am soooooo behind.

Before I started scrapbooking, I just put pictures in an album but I have not even done that in 10 years.  Geez!  So now that I have started scrapping, I have gotten my pictures organized (well the ones I have printed out) and now I have to figure out what paper to use, embellishments, etc.  I still have some digital pictures to organize and print too.

I only have about a month to do this so I hope I make it without coming unglued.  Why is this such a big deal?  Why am I freaking out about it?  It should be a fun time right?
