Wedding Album #2 (for my Mom) Completed!!

I FINALLY got finished with the wedding album (of my son's wedding) that I gave to my Mom for Christmas.  Yeah.....Christmas of LAST YEAR!!!  I'm a terrible daughter.  Took forever to get it done.  But at least it got done right?  LOL  Well below are a few pictures and also the video I did on it showing it page by page.  I showed it to her before it was completed (I only had a few pages left) and she loved it!  I am so glad.

The base for this album came from Sue (ScrapLady530 on YouTube).   She did a great job on it.  I hope you like it too.  Enjoy!

Here is the video showing it a little bit more in detail.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Here is a card I did in response to the October challenge at Bethsscrapbookroom. We were to do a project or card for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Beth is going to send them to different organizations for the cancer patients. Maybe it will brighten up their day a little while they are having to go through a tough time fighting that nasty disease.

I so wanted to do a ton more but I ran out of time and I had not been feeling good. I hope this one at least puts a smile on someone's face.

UPDATE: 11/7/14 -- Here is the other card I was able to do real quick and send to Beth.

Happy Birthday to my oldest son, Daniel!

Boy they grow up so fast don't they?!  He was just born the other day, and then a few days ago he graduated high school.  He got married yesterday and has a baby today.  Where did the time go???????  Well I guess it just seems that fast but it is really heart-wrenching when they leave the nest.  BUT the good part of it all is I got a grand baby out of the deal.  Whoo hoo!!!  He is 6 months old now...oh no! He's doing the same thing...growing too fast!  Yikes!

Ok Karen Sue pull it together... Well as far as my oldest, his birthday is just two days after mine so we usually celebrate together.  Here are some cards I did for him.  One I did for my Dad to give him and the other for me and hubby to give him.  I think they turned out cute.

Here is the one me and hubby gave him.  This is a Cheery Lynn die. My son loves to hunt deer and ducks so both of these cards were oh so appropriate!

And this is the one I made for my Dad and his wife to give him. The deer are Memory Box I believe. Not sure about the grass though. Sorry.

Here is the video show a little more detail. Enjoy! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.  Thanks!

Response to Scraplady530 ATC Challenge Giveaway

Yep, another late posting.  So sorry guys.  Scraplady530 was doing an ATC challenge giveaway so I thought I would give it a go.  I sent it off to her before I could get some photos but I did make the video.  And again I used those cute little owls I got at The Dollar Tree.  They are just so darn ka-yute! And I did the back a little different than normal so hope you like it.

Fall Cards

I am a little late posting this but I still wanted to show you some of the fall cards I have been working on.  I think they turned out rather cutsy.  I have grown quite fond of the little owls in this crafting journey I am on and I really found some real cutie patootie ones.  And guess where I found them......The Dollar Tree!!!!  Yep! The Dollar Tree.  Who da thunk it?  Crafting is expensive but not ALL crafting will break the bank.  Hope you like these!

Did a video on these to show more detail.

MayMay Made It Christmas Card Project

MayMay Made It is doing a Christmas Card Mini Album project.  She asked that people send her Christmas cards so she could incorporate them into a mini album.  She did the same thing with some baby shower cards and made them into an album for a friend.  You really need to go to her YouTube channel to see it.  It's wonderful!!!

Here is my card that I sent her.  I used a PaperTreyInk Stamp and Die set for the focal point and I cannot remember the paper I used. I am so sorry about that.  I should have written it down when I got it. The inside sentiment I believe is also from PTI.  It is either that or Stampin Up.

I was in such a hurry to mail it, I forgot to take pictures but did get a video done.  Oh well.  I hope you like it.  I will be putting more cards on my blog soon.  I have been doing some fall and Christmas cards. Whoo hoo!!

Altered Letters for Grandbaby's Room

I have shared this on my YouTube channel but not here on my blog (so sorry about that). I have "status" videos for my project until it was finished.  But I will show you the finished product below.  If you want to see the status videos you can view them on my YT channel.  I think it came out rather cute.  I followed the "pattern" from the bedding they put in the room.  I just looked it up on Goggle and printed out some pictures to go by.  I then had to size the animals to fit the size of the letters.  Then I printed them out and cut out the figures with a craft knife to create a stencil so I could just paint it on the letters from paper.

I will be doing another video showing it up in the baby's room and also show the baby's room where they painted a mural in it.  It is so stinkin cute!  Let me know what you think about the letters.

Then here is the video showing the final project.  Thanks for watching and leave me a comment on how you think it turned out.  This is my first time in altering letters, especially trying to make it look like something already created (animals and such).

Wedding Card

I made this wedding card at the crop I went to a couple of weeks ago - Crop Connection Summer 2014.  I put it in the card contest and won second prize!!!  Whoo hoo!  The card that won first was a box pop up card.  It was very cute.  I saw a couple of videos on YouTube that I got the idea from.  The one from The Stamp Camp was easier to follow.  You can click here to see that video. I watched the video twice and did not take notes.  So when I got to the crop I was hoping I could remember how to do it.  Fortunately, the tutorial was so easy to following that it was no problem getting it together.  Here is how it turned out.  Enjoy!

Card Share

I got on a card making kick I guess but I had fun doing it.  I am trying to use things in my craft room that I have had for awhile and have never used.  I am sure you guys have stuff like that right?  From paper to embellishments to stamps - I have got to use what I have.  I am trying to make myself do this instead of buying a whole bunch of stuff I won't be using until another year.  Then I will have to do this process all over again right?  LOL

Below are some pics and a video. Thanks tons!

Bead Flowers I Made

I got this idea from someone on YouTube.  The ones with a bunch of petals are the ones that they showed.  The ones with less are the ones I was playing around with and this is how they came out.  It's not too hard to do. You just have to be patient when spacing the petals.  Here is a closer look.  Thanks!

Father's Day Cards

Here are the Father's Day cards I made for my Dad and my hubby.  It really took me awhile to do these because I wanted to get them just right.  For my hubby's card, I had some stickers that I wanted to use because he is such a football fan so they were perfect.  And on the inside the remote sentiment was REALLY perfect. LOL  For my Dad's card, it took me a little longer.  I knew I wanted to use "The Guy Stack" from DCWV cuz there were sections in there relating to different things like "fix-it" guy which I used for my Dad and "sports" which I used for hubby but they also had like ties and BBQ stuff, etc.  The sentiment for my Dad's card is something I came up with.  He has always been the "fix-it" guy in the family - he fixed cars and things around the house, etc.  But he also has grown roses my whole life.  And he actually got rose bushes for his birthday this year to plant at his new house.  So the sentiment just felt appropriate.

Below are pics of the cards and a video showing them closer.  Thanks!

Belated Birthday Card

Oh my goodness!  I feel like an awful scrappy friend.  I forgot a scrappy friend's birthday so I made her this card to mail to her.  I have been wanting to use these sunflower rub-ons for a long time but never had the opportunity to do so.  I did some inking with three colors of distress inks to go with the color of the flower. I also have been wanting to use these bling "flourishes" which I have a ton of so I decided to use them as butterfly trails.  Cute!  However, those things are a pain to get on there right because they stick to your fingers and then the glue gets stretched so it does not lay exactly the same as it was on the sheet it came on.  But I managed to get it on there after what seemed like forever.

I inked the inside also and put another flower in the corner. And the card opens like you see it here. I put the sentiment sideways because of the way the elements sat.  Here are some pictures and a video on the card. Hope you like it.

Get Well Card

Had a friend that was not doing to good so I made a get well card for her. The bow I made out of the bling mesh was a technique I learned from Cynthialoohoo on YouTube.  She has a lot of cool technique videos.

I did not want to put too much of a clutter in one spot on the card so I just made a "little" clutter.  I managed to include a cameo which is something I was hoping I would be able to put on the card somehow.  I did not do much else to the card because I just do not like to have too much clutter on such a pretty card.

It's Time for Graduation Again?

Wow another year gone by and all the little kiddies that were 2 years old just yesterday have graduated high school or even college.  My youngest just finished his 2nd year of college so he will be a Junior next semester.  I can't believe even college is going by fast.

Well here are some cards I did for graduation.  Enjoy.
